About Gabrielle Huppé and Maude Girard from Next Chance

Maude Girard and Gabrielle Huppé met while working in finance. As a couple in life, they always dreamed of building something meaningful together.

In 2020, Next Chance was born from a realization that struck them: 540,000 tons of wrapping paper end up in the trash every year in Canada. That insight sparked their desire to create reusable fabric gift wraps.

It is on the way that they discovered an even bigger problem: textile waste. More than 12% of the world's fabric production is thrown away without ever being used.

They knew they could do more than observe, they could act. Next Chance became their way to transform deadstock fabrics into beautiful, lasting pieces for gift wraps and decorations.
